Paul Rohal was born in 1960; an Adelaide lad who's photographic interests started later than most. As with most things in life, timing is everything. Paul's love for photography was started when a friend invited Paul to join him on a trip to the then flooded Cooper's Creek in South Australia's outback. The main reason was to field test his friend's brand new Canon digital camera. Six months after swimming just meters from Burke's grave site, Paul had invested in a new 35mm digital SLR and hasn't looked back since.
" I've always had a passion for all things digital and it appeared that the technology to capture Australia's landscape with a professional level DSLR had become a reality."
Gone are the days of managing businesses! Paul now works as a freelance photographer interested mainly in landscape, architectural and travel images. Using digital cameras goes hand-in-hand with his skills in the "digital darkroom". Today's technology brings with it exciting new opportunities. Photographers can with relative ease, pre-visualise, capture, interpret and deliver publication-ready images. Paul's goal is to bring the beauty of South Australia to the World.
