Travel photographers Dallas and John Heaton are well known for their destination shots from all over the world. Identical twins born in Melbourne, they gave up vocations in mathematics and computer science 28 years ago to pursue their hobby and passion, photography as a career.  Since then they have gained a reputation for high quality travel images which are marketed worldwide through photo libraries. Their work appears in advertising campaigns, international magazines, corporate brochures and tourist publications.

Dallas says,

" If I am enthusiastic and enjoying the trip then the pics will flow - and often some surprise experiences as well. We recently visited a local village near Guilin in China with a view to photographing old peoples faces. Word spread quickly and after a short time it seemed every old person in the village was lined up - some had never been photographed before. A tiring and wonderful day finished with us having a Chinese Style home cooked meal surrounded by the old villagers! "

John reflects on our quest to shoot water puppets in Hanoi which led to us meeting an old man who was one of the creators and masters of water puppetry.

"After hearing his fascinating life story he and I ended up waist deep in his garden pond giving a water puppet performance for Dallas to shoot. I think he was surprised that I was prepared to get my feet wet. Our motivation is to create images that are fresh,exciting and delight both us and the viewer."
