Dennis Harding is a Tasmanian-born professional landscape photographer who has been making photographs of his island home for the past 30 years. His images convey the intimate detail and abstract beauty of his home state which can be seen in seven major Tasmanian books he has authored:
Tasmania a Wild Beauty,
The Splendour of Tasmania,
Tasmania a place to remember,
A Tasmanian Wilderness Experience,
A portrait of Tasmania,
Australia’s Island State Tasmania,
Tasmanian Landscapes.
Dennis is
influenced by the work of both late Tasmanian wilderness photographers Olagus Truchanus and Peter Dombroskis and international photographers David Muench, Ansel Adams and Shinzo Maeda. His primary goal as a photographer is to capture the spirit of the landscape and help people become more aware of preserving our natural heritage though the published image.
Every year Dennis publishes a selection of his best work in the
Spectacular Tasmania and
Classic Images Calendars.
