David Hancock has been a professional writer for 30 years and a photographer for 20 years. He has lived in the Northern Territory of Australia for 17 years and his work, which covers a range of subjects from landscapes to industry and commercial activity, has been published in newspapers, magazines and books throughout the country. His favourite subjects are people and wildlife interacting with their environment. David has a variety of corporate clients including offshore energy and mining companies, government agencies and tourism operators. His editorial clients include The Sydney Morning Herald and Age newspapers, Outback magazine and Australian Geographic. David and his wife Ginette Kenney operate Skyscans Australia, a photo library specialising in northern and central Australia and South East Asia. They and their children, Brooke and Ward, live at Bee's Creek, outside Darwin with their four dogs, four horses, chickens, turkeys, a budgerigar and "Rainbow Bright", a stunningly beautiful, but troublesome, lorikeet. David enjoys traveling throughout the bush of northern and central Australia and working with people who lead interesting lives in the Outback. He particularly enjoys working with Aboriginal people, whom he believes to be one of the greatest assets of Australia.
