Paul's journey into photography began in early 1999 with a spur-of-the-moment trip to Zimbabwe.
 
"I've always loved animals, but travelling in southern Africa with my first SLR camera while observing the wildlife up close really fired my imagination."
 
The combination of Paul's strong technical background, passion for the environment and natural sense of adventure led to his involvement in conservation operations in remote parts of Australia. This in turn has given him the opportunity to develop his photography skills.
 
"My travels have taken me to some amazing places where I've enjoyed some wonderful wildlife experiences.  There is something about being able to capture the character of a beautiful animal or place that is magical.  Hopefully I've been able to express those moments photographically in a way that has meaning for other people too."
