Once you have found an image, or images, you would like to use, you can email us on sales@auscape.com.au with your usage details, from the contact us page. We will respond with a quote for the use usually within the hour.
The information you need to include is: • Your name • Your contact details • Image ID • Project name/brief description of how you are intending to use the image (eg personal display print, book) • The size the image will be used • The print run if a book, magazine, brochure or other printed item • Length of time if electronic rights are required • Distribution area (is the end product to be distributed worldwide, within a single country etc)
Once the licence fee has been agreed upon, an invoice will be sent to you for payment and once the funds have been received, the high resolution image file will be sent to you either by email or FTP link. Payment can be made either by EFT directly into our account or by credit card using our PayPal account. Please nominate your preference when you confirm the image usage. The whole process is very quick and most transactions are completed within an hour or two. Existing customers who already have an account with Auscape and a good payment history are able to receive the high res files at the same time as the invoice, with terms of 14 days.
Image searching on this site
We have endeavoured to create an easy-to-search database for our growing collection of images. As you can see there are numerous categories to browse and you can also enter keywords in the search box to narrow your choices. We have embedded keywords into all the images to respond to more selected searches. The scope of your search results will be determined by your selection of keywords.
Quick Search By default the system uses "Match at least one keyword" for the quick search function. If you enter "beautiful sunset" (without the quotes) into the quick search field, then the search function will return results for any media that contain either "beautiful" OR "sunset" in its properties.
The system supports the "AND" and "NOT" operands in the quick search function by the use of the plus sign (+) and minus sign (-) respectively in front of the keywords.
If you enter "beautiful +sunset" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will only return results for any media that contain both keywords "beautiful" AND "sunset" in its properties.
If you enter "beautiful -sunset" (without the quotes) into the search field, the system will return results for any media that contain the keyword "beautiful", but this media can't contain the keyword "sunset" in its properties.
Note: There must not any spaces between the second keyword and the input operands (+), (-) keywords.
Advanced Search The advanced search function doesn't use the same algorithms as above. It offers options allowing you to choose which operand you want to use for your searches.
There are three options available.
Match at least one keyword The system will return results for any media that contain either one of the keywords in its properties.
Match all keywords The system will only return results for any media that contain all keywords in its properties.
Match exact phrase The system will only return results for any media that contains the exact keyword phrase in its properties.
